Location: Preference to Minneapolis, Denver, Brookfield, Atlanta, and Irving Hub locations (Hybrid)

Rate: $65.00 on w2

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Lakehouse Platform Engineer to contribute to a data modernization project. This role focuses on designing, managing, and implementing data lakehouse patterns and data ingestion architectures. The position involves enabling business intelligence, reporting, data science, and other use cases at an enterprise scale through hands-on work with data platforms and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement data lakehouse patterns for raw, cleaned, curated, and consumption-ready data.
• Design and manage real-time and batch data ingestion architectures using tools like Kafka, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Develop and maintain optimized storage formats and metadata-driven ingestion processes.
• Contribute to an enterprise data governance framework, including data lineage, cataloging, and data quality controls.
• Ensure end-to-end data traceability from source to consumption to support auditability and compliance.
• Support the creation of analytics-ready data models for various business use cases.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Hands-on experience with data lakehouse patterns, data ingestion architectures (real-time and batch), and enterprise data governance frameworks.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with AWS or Azure Data Platform Services, Databricks, Delta Lake, Python, and Snowflake. Experience with ETL tools such as Spark, relational databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, or DB2, and knowledge of Collibra. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines supporting a data lakehouse environment is also required.
