Senior Data Analyst / Informatica ETL Developer to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale ETL solutions within a multi-terabyte Oracle Exadata environment. This role plays a critical part in integrating public and private healthcare encounter and enrollment data from New York State healthcare plans into the NY All Payer Database (APD). The ideal candidate brings deep Informatica expertise, strong Oracle/PLSQL skills, and a healthcare data background.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter to load data into NY APD reporting structures.
- Adhere to Informatica development standards, including reusable components, maplets, and avoidance of hard coding.
- Develop automation strategies to replace manual operational processes.
- Perform ETL optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging across pre-production and production environments.
- Execute unit, integration, and data validation testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Tune and optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability; collaborate with data modelers and DBAs on architecture and performance improvements.
- Provide development support and lead code walkthroughs to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Enforce secure coding practices in compliance with New York State security policies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures for ETL workflows.
- Utilize Informatica Data Quality for data profiling, validation, cleansing, and transformation.
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL, including strong coding and performance tuning skills.
- 2+ years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
- Experience with data warehouse modeling and design principles.
- 2+ years of healthcare data experience (Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange, or commercial payer data).
- Strong understanding of database design, ETL performance optimization, and data quality best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality and Test Data Manager.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of HIPAA regulatory and security requirements.
- Experience with healthcare transaction standards such as 834, 837, and NCPDP.
- Exposure to modern data platforms and cloud technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS).
- Advanced Oracle database experience.
Project SummaryThis role supports a large-scale New York State healthcare data initiative focused on integrating and analyzing encounter and enrollment data across public and private healthcare plans. Using the Informatica product suite-including PowerCenter, Data Quality, Test Data Manager, Metadata Manager, and Master Data Management-you will source, stage, audit, cleanse, enrich, and load healthcare data into Oracle-based NY APD reporting structures. The resulting data enables statewide healthcare system evaluation, reporting, and analytics.
