About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Reporting Developer with a strong software development background, advanced SQL expertise, and experience designing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions.

In this role, you will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance reporting solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, SSRS, and SQL. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently are essential.

A successful candidate will bring hands-on software development experience in addition to business analysis capabilities. Experience with accounting concepts and financial institutions is highly valued.
Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and support enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Analyze reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot reporting, data, and SQL-related issues and identify appropriate solutions.
• Learn and become proficient with proprietary SQL-based development tools, processes, and environments.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
• Validate solutions for accuracy, completeness, and performance.
• Work independently, manage priorities, and deliver assignments with minimal supervision.
• Support testing activities, including the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scenarios, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of software development experience, including hands-on development responsibilities.
• 3 to 5 years of business analysis experience.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting reports using:
  • Power BI
  • Report Builder
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Advanced SQL skills, including demonstrated experience:
  • Reading and writing complex queries
  • Modifying existing queries
  • Query optimization and performance troubleshooting
  • Diagnosing and resolving SQL-related issues
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts and financial institution environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality solutions.
• Ability to learn proprietary tools and processes quickly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Important: This position requires prior hands-on software development experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to business analysis without software development experience will not meet the minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a comparable financial services environment.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Work Arrangement

This position is based at:

1525 W. W.T. Harris Blvd.
Charlotte, NC

The selected candidate will initially work on-site five days per week while onboarding and becoming proficient in the role. Once the individual is able to work independently, the schedule may transition to three days on-site and two days remote per week.
