Senior Lead Business Analyst, Portfolio Management Platform (Contractor)

About the Job

As a Senior Lead Business Analyst supporting the Portfolio Management Platform within Commercial Banking, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of portfolio management capabilities through data-driven solutions, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled experiences. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, product managers, UX designers, engineers, data teams, and AI specialists to define requirements, influence product direction, and help deliver high-impact solutions.

You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into scalable platform capabilities, driving alignment across cross-functional teams, and supporting delivery from concept through implementation. Success in this role requires strong business analysis, process design, data analysis, and Agile delivery experience, along with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
  • Lead requirements discovery, analysis, validation, and documentation for portfolio management platform initiatives.
  • Translate business objectives into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process workflows.
  • Identify and resolve gaps, dependencies, risks, and assumptions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define priorities and support roadmap execution.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to develop intuitive user experiences, validate workflows, review wireframes, and refine designs based on business needs.
  • Support Agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and support successful implementation of platform capabilities.
  • Perform data analysis and source-to-target mapping across multiple systems to support solution design and integration efforts.
  • Partner with data, analytics, and AI teams to support the development and validation of AI-enabled features and recommendations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions and build alignment across business, technology, data, UX, and AI stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, and action items.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business analysis, product delivery, or related roles supporting complex technology platforms.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
  • Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, workflow diagrams, and business documentation.
  • Experience performing data analysis and source-to-target data mapping.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration and project management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Credit, Portfolio Management, or Commercial Banking platforms.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking processes, data structures, and workflows.
  • Experience working with AI-driven products, analytics platforms, or intelligent automation solutions.
  • Experience partnering with data engineering, analytics, or data science teams.
  • Understanding of AI concepts, including recommendation engines, AI agents, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Familiarity with APIs, enterprise system integrations, and modern application architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive initiatives through ambiguity and change.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect business objectives with technology solutions.
  • A data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A bias for action and ownership, with the ability to independently drive complex initiatives from discovery through delivery.
  • Passion for improving user experiences, operational efficiency, and business outcomes through innovative technology solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to help shape strategic portfolio management capabilities and deliver impactful solutions that improve how Commercial Banking teams manage portfolios, data, workflows, and customer outcomes.
