Overview

Our East Coast healthcare client is seeking an experienced Peoplesoft Supply Chain Information Systems Manager to lead the strategy, performance, and optimization of their Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) and related platforms as the clients migrates from PeopleSoft to Workday. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency, cost savings, and system innovation across the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and strategic direction of PeopleSoft MMIS and complementary systems supporting supply chain operations
  • Lead system optimization efforts to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost savings aligned with organizational goals
  • Develop and implement protocols for system updates, including vendor/item master data, user access, troubleshooting, and new functionality
  • Partner with IT/IS teams to ensure system uptime, manage upgrades/patches, and coordinate system changes and reporting processes
  • Manage and mentor MMIS staff, ensuring successful execution of daily operations and long-term initiatives
  • Monitor vendor performance, contract compliance, and pricing accuracy using system tools and reporting
  • Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities through data analysis and reporting insights
  • Act as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and system discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure system integrity and user adoption
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with department heads and stakeholders to implement improvements and system enhancements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of hospital supply chain information systems management experience OR 10-15 years of relevant experience, including progressive leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams

Required Skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Expertise in PeopleSoft MMIS platforms and supply chain systems (ERP, purchasing, inventory, reporting, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
