Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL development, mainframe SAS conversions, and Python-based automation and a proven ability to analyze and migrate complex legacy workflows into performant, reliable Oracle solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Convert and migrate legacy Mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL.


• Analyze existing Mainframe SAS workflows and redesign logic for Oracle-based execution.


• Ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of Oracle-based solutions.


• Utilize Python for automation, data processing, and migration tasks.


• Support and enhance a Java-based user interface as needed.


• Use JIRA for task tracking and delivery within Agile or hybrid workflows.


• Collaborate with the technology manager for reporting, planning, and delivery oversight.


• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development.


• Hands-on experience with Mainframe SAS or COBOL-based data processes.


• Working proficiency with Python for automation and data handling.


• Experience supporting or integrating with Java-based applications.


• Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow tools in Agile environments.


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a team-first mindset.


• Track record of delivering high-quality outcomes on time.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience modernizing mainframe workloads to Oracle ecosystems.


• Background with Agile ceremonies and metrics in JIRA.
