Description: Job Description - Information Security Engineer (Firewall Engineering)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Information Security Engineer to support large-scale, complex initiatives within our Information Security Engineering organization. In this contingent assignment, you will provide technical expertise on advanced engineering challenges, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic security design efforts across the enterprise.
What You'll Do- Lead and consult on complex, large-scale Information Security Engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Analyze and solve multi-faceted security engineering challenges, including scenarios involving intangible or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions requiring deep knowledge of security engineering functions, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and collaborate with internal teams to ensure security requirements are met across projects and environments.
- Act as a strategic partner to engineering and business stakeholders.
Role Focus: Firewall EngineeringThis position is focused on
enterprise firewall engineering, not firewall policy management.
Required Technical Expertise- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls (must have).
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing concepts, and security architecture.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Experience operating in large-scale enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent background demonstrated through a combination of:
- Prior work or consulting experience
- Military experience
- Technical training
- Education

Additional Notes- Strong experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet is required.
