Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to create and maintain high-quality documentation that supports both IT and operational needs. The ideal candidate will excel at transforming technical concepts into clear, user-friendly formats while ensuring consistency and adherence to organizational standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including policies, procedures, SOPs, and runbooks, to support IT and operational workflows.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to accurately capture technical details and translate them into actionable content.
Ensure all documentation aligns with brand guidelines and is easy to understand by end-users.
Manage the lifecycle of content, including version control, approvals, and updates, using platforms such as SharePoint and Monday.com.
Produce clear and structured user guides, diagrams, and break/fix instructions to facilitate product implementation and troubleshooting.
Adapt technical content to meet compliance and security requirements, including readiness for audits and reviews.
Utilize tools like Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe RoboHelp to develop highly detailed documents.
Standardize documentation processes to ensure consistency and scalability as the organization evolves.
Partner with teams to create traceable and actionable procedures from policies, standards, and contract language.
Maintain a high level of organization and accuracy across all documentation projects.
Requirements
Proven experience in technical writing, with a strong ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Proficiency in tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe RoboHelp, and Microsoft SharePoint.
Familiarity with AP Style and best practices for technical documentation.
Experience with managing content using platforms like Monday.com and policy management software.
Knowledge of SOP development and lifecycle management.
Ability to work collaboratively with IT and operational teams to gather and synthesize technical information.
Understanding of compliance and security standards, particularly in healthcare or government settings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure documentation is accurate and well-maintained.
