ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for our client in Austin, TX. This role is part of the clients Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team and focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation and document intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will work with large and complex data sources, transforming them into structured and actionable outputs. This position requires strong expertise in RPA technologies, document processing, and cloud-based infrastructure within a fast-paced Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements by studying system workflows, data usage, and operational processes
- Design and develop software solutions aligned with system specifications and standards
- Build, test, and maintain automation solutions using RPA technologies
- Develop document intelligence solutions to process and transform large-scale PDFs and data packages into structured formats
- Perform document ingestion, analysis, and enable search capabilities across datasets
- Integrate RPA solutions with APIs, databases, and web services
- Provide infrastructure support, particularly within Azure environments, including troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless solution delivery
- Continuously improve automation processes and system performance
- Develop reports, analytics, and insights from structured and unstructured data
Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on RPA development experience, specifically with Blue Prism (attended and unattended bots interacting with websites)
- Strong experience integrating RPA with APIs and databases, including RESTful web services and SQL databases
- Experience developing reports and working with structured and unstructured data
- Experience building analytics solutions from complex datasets
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Experience with Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud Flows)
- Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure, including troubleshooting
- Experience with Power BI and SQL
- Familiarity with Azure AI and Cognitive Search
Preferred Certifications:
- Blue Prism Certification
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
