Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Quality Engineering Manager for our client based out of Fort Worth, TX.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

This will also have a first-shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of project quality control programs and quality management processes.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, engineering drawings, submittals, and project requirements to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct constructability and compliance reviews of engineering and design documentation.
  • Lead and support the implementation of the USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase Quality Control Process, including preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections.
  • Develop project-specific installation checklists and quality verification tools for field personnel.
  • Perform detailed field inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data, trends, and findings to project teams and leadership.
  • Participate in daily safety and operational meetings to identify and address quality concerns.
  • Support investigation and resolution of quality issues, deficiencies, and customer findings.
  • Manage quality punch lists, commissioning issues, and project closeout activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, owners, and quality stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are understood and executed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, corrective actions, and process enhancements.
  • Support quality documentation, audit preparation, and compliance activities.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of construction, engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, or quality management experience supporting complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with the USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase Quality Control System.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents including specifications, drawings, contracts, and submittals.
  • Experience leading or supporting field inspections, audits, quality reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work directly with owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience supporting government, military, federal, defense, mission-critical, or infrastructure projects.
  • Journeyman Electrical License preferred.
  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, testing, and project turnover activities.
  • Experience managing quality activities on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with quality metrics, reporting, and operational performance analysis.
