Day to Day job Duties:
Confers with product team members and clients regularly to identify digital needs and determines how the desired results can be achieved.
Analyzes existing systems and applications and develops or recommends new systems or modifications to existing systems.
Reviews and analyzes system specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included.
Consults with business analysts and clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, systems environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Applies best practices of ServiceNow platform standards and adheres to client standards and approved programming techniques to achieve the most effective solutions.
Modifies existing applications to conform to system changes or to make improvements in the existing application.
Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
Develops test plans ensuring that unit, system, integration and user acceptance plans are complete and understood by developers and users.
Support and use the various client methodologies such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of system and integration development methodologies and practices.
Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions.
Content and taxonomy strategy.
Automated test cases and support for UAT.
Develop, test, demo, and deliver solution features in sprints.
Release notes and deployment documentation.
Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
Fix defects.
Create technical documentation for implemented features.
Ensure alignment with architecture standards set by the client and the Strategist.
Rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a College Diploma or University Degree in an IT discipline.
Must have 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow Development.
Must have 7+ years of technical expertise in the following areas:
ServiceNow App Engine Studio: Advanced Proficiency in building apps using AES.
ServiceNow Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with tables, forms, ACLs, and Flow Designer.
Low-Code Development: Ability to create apps without heavy scripting.
ServiceNow Employee Center / EC Pro.
HRSD, ITSM, and Employee Workflows.
Knowledge Management, taxonomy design, and content governance.
Strong delivery skills and ability to work in agile sprints and deliver rapid prototypes.
Strong collaboration and documentation skills.
Nice to Have/preference:
Experience with business requirements gathering.
Experience with ServiceNow Studio for advanced scripting.
Experience with Service Portal widgets, Next Experience.
Knowledge of Integration Hub, Performance Analytics, and UI Builder.
Strong UX and accessibility awareness.
Experience in Azure DevOps pipelines.
Possess a ServiceNow Certification (Application Developer, Implementation Specialist or System Administrator).
Bilingual in English and French.
Previous experience with the federal government crown Corp or other public sector preferred
