Role Overview:
Seeking an AEM Forms developer to build and maintain complex XDP-based form solutions for print, web, and customer correspondence. You will lead high-velocity template development for a multi-phase migration, integrate forms with enterprise data via FDM/XSD/JSON, and uphold best practices across OSGi/Sling/JCR. The role includes batch monitoring and limited pager/on-call support, along with mentoring team members on AEM template delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex XDP form templates using AEM Forms Designer (Adobe LiveCycle Designer) for multi-channel output (print, web, correspondence).
- Structure dynamic layouts with subforms, target areas, tables, layout fragments, and dynamic imagery.
- Configure data bindings and mappings for XDP templates using XML Schema (XSD), Form Data Models (FDM), and JSON datasets to enable data prefill and secure submission.
- Implement AEM Forms components and server-side logic leveraging OSGi, Apache Sling, and JCR; develop supporting services, Sling Models, and servlets as needed.
- Contribute to and accelerate a large-scale, multi-phase migration of templates and related assets.
- Monitor batch jobs and participate in a pager/on-call rotation to ensure operational reliability.
- Produce development documentation and refine standards, patterns, and guidelines for form design and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, QA, operations) to ensure performance, accessibility, and security requirements are met.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Primary platform expertise: AEM Forms 6.5 LTS.
- Form design: AEM Forms Designer / Adobe LiveCycle Designer with strong XDP/XFA proficiency.
- Programming: Strong in Java, JavaScript, and HTML5.
- Core AEM frameworks: OSGi, Apache Sling, JCR, and Form Data Model (FDM).
- Data formats: Deep experience with XML, XSD, XFA, JSON, and document fragments.
- Tooling and build: Maven, Git, Eclipse.
- Proven experience delivering dynamic, data-driven forms with secure submission workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira for work management and tracking.
- Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
- Familiarity with batch scheduling/monitoring tools and processes.
- Exposure to performance tuning and troubleshooting in AEM Forms environments.
- Coaching or mentoring experience within development teams.

- On-time delivery of a multi-phase AEM Forms migration with high quality and maintainability.
- Robust, reusable XDP templates and layout fragments aligned to revised standards and guidelines.
- Complete technical documentation, including data mappings, configuration, and deployment notes.
- Stable batch operations with effective monitoring and incident response.
