UKG HRIS Configuration

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced UKG Functional Expert with strong expertise in HRIS configuration and functional support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring UKG solutions, understanding HR and payroll business processes, and translating business requirements into effective system configurations.

The candidate will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to configure, enhance, test, and support UKG applications while ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional subject matter expert for UKG HRIS solutions and configuration.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from HR, Payroll, and other business stakeholders.
• Configure UKG modules based on business requirements and established HR processes.
• Maintain and support employee data, organizational structures, workflows, security roles, and system configurations.
• Configure and maintain HR, payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, benefits, and other applicable UKG functionality.
• Develop functional specifications and configuration documentation.
• Analyze system issues and work with technical teams or UKG support to resolve complex problems.
• Perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, patches, and new functionality implementations.
• Identify opportunities to improve HRIS processes through automation and UKG functionality.
• Partner with HR and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and efficient business processes.
• Support data conversion, integrations, interfaces, and reporting requirements from a functional perspective.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and ad hoc queries as required.
• Ensure system configurations comply with company policies, payroll requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing functional support.
• Participate in implementation and enhancement projects from requirements gathering through deployment and post-production support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with UKG HRIS applications in a functional or configuration role.
• Strong hands-on experience with UKG configuration and HRIS business processes.
• Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, and Workforce Management processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into system configurations.
• Experience with UKG testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and production support.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS data structures and employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience working with HR, Payroll, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UKG Pro and/or UKG Ready.
• Experience configuring UKG workflows, business rules, security, roles, and organizational structures.
• Experience with UKG Payroll and Time & Attendance configuration.
• Experience supporting UKG integrations with third-party HR, payroll, benefits, or financial systems.
• Knowledge of HRIS reporting and data extraction.
• Experience with implementation or migration projects.
• Understanding of data privacy, payroll compliance, and HR technology best practices.
