Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing firmware for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshooting and debugging embedded systems on production lines.
• Collaborating with hardware engineers to integrate new components and sensors.
• Developing and executing test plans for embedded software to ensure reliability and performance.
• Optimizing existing embedded code for efficiency, speed, and resource utilization.
• Providing technical support and training to manufacturing teams on embedded systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing or industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, with a strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC, AVR) and associated development tools.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging, including use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
• Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic embedded loops.
• Demonstrated experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems in an industrial context.
