IT Project Manager

Role Title: IT Project Manager

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 month contract

Preferred Location: Ramsey, NJ / NYC area preferred

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support multiple cross-functional technology initiatives. This is focused on project coordination, agile delivery, vendor management, and stakeholder communication across several IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects across SAP Basis, web services, Salesforce, and related technology teams.
• Coordinate an employee portal rebuild and other vendor-supported initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Establish and maintain an agile sprint cadence, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Track project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
• Use Jira to manage project activities and provide visibility into delivery progress.
• Maintain project documentation, decisions, and status updates in Confluence.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to project stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Balance priorities across several teams while keeping projects aligned with timelines and business objectives.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into system specifications, solution requirements, integration requirements, and technical workflows

Requirements:

Strong experience managing cross-functional IT projects.

• Demonstrated knowledge of agile delivery practices and ceremonies.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience managing external vendors and coordinating vendor deliverables.
• Excellent communication, organization, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain highly organized in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Ability to manage several concurrent projects without requiring deep technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, SAP, or web services projects
• Previous experience supporting SAP Basis initiatives
• Experience managing employee portals, service-management solutions, or similar enterprise applications
