Tolling Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration for business solutions.
• Lead efforts in defining, documenting, and estimating enterprise applications.
• Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environments.
• Collaborate with IT staff to assess business needs and translate them into automated solutions.
• Produce solution design artifacts such as technical estimates, system designs, and data models.
• Coordinate new system development to ensure consistency with existing systems and COTS solutions.
• Analyze feasibility and compatibility with hardware and other programs and consult with clients to prototype and design applications.
• Collaborate with business areas and Enterprise Architects to understand business needs and provide strategic consultation.
• Partner with architects and technical team members to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs.
• Design/Implement Enterprise Security/technology Patterns.
• Consult with teams on initiatives and provide tactical direction and architecture considerations on legacy solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAFe architecture and work experience with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
• Experience in linking cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling, and data mapping.
• Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
• Project management skills and exposure to project-based work structures and lifecycle models.
• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Competency with XML constructs and schemas.
• Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
• Understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
