Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)
Location: Remote (But Must be local to Colorado with Colorado DL. IP address will be tracked.) This is a setaside for Colorado residents only.

Position Summary
The Client is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer to support cloud migration and modernization initiatives. The engineer will design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Google Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) while working within a DevOps environment. The role also includes cloud automation, security, monitoring, CI/CD implementation, and Tier-2 production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud Platform infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and manage VPCs, Shared VPCs, Compute Engine, storage, networking, and cloud services.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Collaborate with security and IAM teams to implement secure cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain cloud standards, SOPs, and governance practices.
- Evaluate new Google Cloud Platform services and recommend adoption.
- Provide Tier-2 troubleshooting and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure.
- 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform (or similar).
- Strong experience with:
- Google Cloud Platform Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, IAM
- Linux & Windows cloud infrastructure
- High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and enterprise networking
- CI/CD automation
- Scripting experience with:
- Python
- Bash
- PowerShell
- YAML
- Experience deploying enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.

- Must reside in Colorado (local candidates only).
- Must successfully pass:

- Global Monitor/OFAC Check
- CJIS Clearance
- Completion of Colorado State Information Security Training is required within 30 days of start.
Ideal Candidate: A senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer with strong Terraform, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud networking, automation, and enterprise infrastructure experience who can independently deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions in a government environment.
