Role: IAM Architect

As an IAM Architect in the Application Development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). You will work closely with security and application teams to ensure secure access to enterprise applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions using Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
2. Develop and enforce IAM policies, standards, and governance frameworks for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
3. Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and passwordless authentication across enterprise applications.
4. Integrate IAM solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premises systems to enable secure hybrid identity.
5. Implement role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and privileged access management (PAM).
6. Design and manage identity federation and external identity provider integrations (SAML, OIDC, OAuth).
7. Conduct regular access reviews, identity audits, and compliance checks to meet regulatory requirements (HIPAA, NIST, etc.).
8. Collaborate with security and application teams to ensure secure onboarding/offboarding processes and identity lifecycle automation.
9. Provide expertise in identity threat detection and response, including monitoring and remediation of suspicious activities.
10. Advise on best practices for identity governance and administration (IGA) and implement automation for provisioning/deprovisioning.
11. Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and recommend improvements for security, scalability, and user experience.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in IAM architecture and design.
2. Deep expertise in Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including advanced configurations and integrations.
3. Strong understanding of identity protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC) and federation concepts.
4. Experience with MFA, SSO, passwordless authentication, and conditional access policies.
5. Knowledge of identity lifecycle management, RBAC, ABAC, and privileged access management.
6. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2) and IAM audit practices.
7. Hands-on experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) tools and automation.
8. Ability to integrate IAM solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise applications.
9. Certifications such as Okta Certified Consultant, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
10. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
