Location: Charlotte NC (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite in office, 2 days remote)
Duration: 18 months, would like to extend/convert

Overview
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator with a strong foundation in PeopleSoft and Oracle DB, combined with growing or established strengths in infrastructure and DevOps practices.
This role is evolving beyond traditional administration into a platform-focused position with responsibilities spanning performance optimization, deployment, and cross-team enablement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Strong in PeopleSoft fundamentals AND Oracle DB understanding
• Comfortable operating in Linux + infrastructure environments
• Able to bridge traditional ERP administration with modern DevOps practices
• Analytical, with a focus on performance tuning and system optimization
• Capable of evolving into a release/deployment owner
Core Role Expectations & Requirements
PeopleSoft & Application Expertise
• PeopleSoft Admin with 5+ years of experience
• Strong understanding of PeopleTools Product Upgrades
o Experience with applying patches (Tuxedo, WebLogic, etc.)
• Experience with:
o PeopleSoft App Designer
o Change Assistant
o Data Mover tools
• Experience setting up migration and upgrade tasks in Change Assistant
• Experience with code migrations (PeopleSoft projects)
• Hands-on understanding of:
o PeopleSoft architecture
o How data is stored and structured in the database
o Relationships between data entities (similar to CRM systems like Salesforce)
Database & Performance Focus (IMPORTANT)
• Working knowledge of Oracle DB setup supporting PeopleSoft
• Ability to:
o Analyze database structure
o Identify and implement performance improvements
o Support reporting and dashboard optimization
• Understanding that:
o All code resides in the database (not a traditional repo)
Infrastructure & DevOps (IMPORTANT)
*** Manager preference: Stronger in Infra/DevOps with PeopleSoft knowledge vs. purely functional admin
• Linux experience
o Must be able to write shell scripts
• Understanding of:
o Load balancing concepts (active issue area)
o Datacenter resiliency
o Business continuity planning (BCP)
• Experience with:
o Certificates / SSL handling and renewal
o Reliability monitoring
Modern Tooling & Automation
• Working knowledge of:
o Git / GitHub
o Jenkins or similar pipeline tools
o uDeploy (preferred)
o Liquibase (nice to have)
• Experience with:
o CI/CD concepts (even if adapting to PeopleSoft constraints)
• Ticketing systems:
o Jira
o ServiceNow or equivalent

• Strong aptitude to deepen PeopleSoft platform knowledge
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Initial Ramp-Up
• Day 1–Early onboarding:
o Knowledge transfer
o Understanding the application and environment
o Learning Customer Contact Management system (CRM-like functionality)
Ongoing Responsibilities
• Work with platform support teams to:
o Ramp them up in the PeopleSoft ecosystem
o Share knowledge and improve team capability
• Analyze system performance and:
o Identify optimization opportunities
o Address load balancing issues
• Support deployment activities:
o Understand how to deploy code from database-driven architecture
• Over time:
o Transition from support-focused > release & code deployment ownership

• Experience in Business continuity plan (BPC) planning and execution with clear understanding of Datacenter resiliency
• Experience with Load Balancers such as F5 or AVI
• Experience working in Windows environment
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.
• Basic knowledge of dealing with Certificates and cert renewal.
