Position Summary
The Senior Program Manager – Application Separation & TSA Delivery will lead one of the company''''''''s highest-profile strategic initiatives: the successful separation of business applications supporting a recently divested business during the Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) period.
Over the course of a 24-month TSA, this leader will direct the planning, governance, and execution required to transition approximately 100 business applications from the company''''''''s environment to the acquiring organization while ensuring the retained enterprise is appropriately archived, secured, and positioned for long-term operations.
This role is responsible for delivering the application separation program across Sales & Marketing, Operations, Communications, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, and other business functions. This role is not directly responsible for ERP, shared finance or infrastructure activities, but partnership with these teams is essential to ensure success of the program.
Success in this role requires exceptional program leadership, the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, coordinate multiple teams without direct authority, and drive disciplined execution across a large, highly interdependent portfolio.
What You''''''''ll Do
Lead the Business Application Separation Program
Own the overall application separation program from planning through TSA exit, ensuring all application-related commitments are delivered on schedule and with minimal operational risk.
Develop and maintain an integrated program roadmap that aligns business priorities, technical dependencies, TSA milestones, and executive decision points.
Establish program governance, success metrics, reporting cadence, risk management processes, and executive communications.
Define Separation Strategies
Partner with business leaders, application owners, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Legal, Records Management, and Compliance to determine the appropriate end-state for each application.
Coordinate planning for application transitions that may include:
- Full application transfer to the buyer
- Data migration
- Data extraction and delivery
- Read-only retention
- Application archival
- Application retirement and decommissioning
Ensure each application has a clearly defined separation plan, ownership, timeline, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
Coordinate execution across multiple IT delivery teams, business functions, vendors, and the acquiring organization.
Manage interdependencies between application workstreams and parallel separation initiatives.
Facilitate issue resolution, remove delivery obstacles, and accelerate executive decisions when required.
Monitor progress across the portfolio and ensure work remains aligned to TSA commitments.
Protect the Retained Enterprise
Ensure applications supporting the retained business are properly remediated following separation.
Coordinate removal of divested business data where appropriate while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, quality, and records retention requirements.
Partner with Information Security to ensure secure data transfer, appropriate access controls, and risk mitigation throughout the separation process.
Manage Program Governance
Maintain integrated schedules, RAID logs, dependency tracking, financial impacts, and executive dashboards.
Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding progress, emerging risks, critical decisions, and TSA readiness.
Support governance forums and executive steering committees with actionable recommendations and clear decision materials.
