Job Description :
Migrating a large portfolio of Oracle databases from on premise colocation data centers (Exadata / RAC) to Microsoft Exadata Azure environment, while also executing Oracle version upgrades (e.g., 12c 19c) or from another version to the latest.
Requirements:
HM is looking for a senior principal level resource, hands-on technical expert responsible for supporting large-scale Oracle database migrations from on premises Exadata / RAC environments to Azure. The focus is on deep Oracle expertise, migration readiness, client connectivity, and acting as a bridge between Oracle, internal infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure fast, successful migrations.
Serve as a deep technical resource across the full Oracle stack during database upgrade and migration initiatives.
Support large-scale migrations of Oracle databases from on prem Exadata & RAC to Azure-based environments.
Provide architectural guidance and troubleshooting support during:
Database version upgrades (e.g., Oracle 12c 19c)
Pre-migration readiness and validation
Post-migration stabilization
Act as the primary technical interface between:
Oracle (who perform the migrations)
Internal infrastructure teams
Application owners / developers
Ensure application connectivity remains stable by supporting:
Client-side Oracle configurations
DNS, JDBC, and connection string troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving:
Oracle networking
DNS
Client connectivity
