Pay Range: $60/hr - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify business and technical risks while contributing to user story definition and acceptance criteria.
- Define, review, and execute test strategies, plans, and cases across functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design and build automation frameworks using Appium and UIAutomator2 for Android, Selenium WebDriver or Cypress for web testing, and Karate or REST Assured for API automation.
- Automate Android application workflows and conduct profiling and performance analysis using Android Studio Profiler, ADB, Perfetto, and Firebase Test Lab.
- Validate device capabilities and create reusable tools for hardware testing.
- Perform API functional, performance, and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6, analyzing platform reliability and resource utilization.
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines while maintaining clear quality reporting.
- Collaborate in a Scrum environment to investigate defects and drive timely resolution.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- 7+ years of professional experience in QA automation.
- 6+ years of QA automation experience, including building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch for Android, web, API, and load testing.
- Hands-on Android application automation experience using Appium and UIAutomator2, including device performance testing with Android Studio Profiler, ADB, and Perfetto.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript or Java, with hands-on experience in API automation and performance/load-testing frameworks such as Karate, REST Assured, JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
- Experience defining and reviewing test plans, test cases, and risk-based quality strategies.
- Hands-on database testing experience with MongoDB, including query validation and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance automation development.
- Strong test-data management and data-mocking experience.
- Experience with API mocking using tools such as WireMock or MockServer.
- Experience testing scalable, cloud-native platforms built on AWS services.
- Retail or customer-facing technology experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant software testing or cloud certifications are beneficial but not required.
