Summary

Position: Snowflake Architect/Lead

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract opportunity

Job Description:

Design and implement scalable Snowflake architectures for data warehouse, data lake, and data sharing solutions.
Develop data models and analytics-ready datasets.
Build and oversee batch and near real-time ETL/ELT pipelines.
Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
Configure and manage Snowflake Data Sharing and advanced Snowflake capabilities (including Cortex AI).
Establish data governance, masking, encryption, and security controls.
Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
Evaluate and adopt new Snowflake features to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and anomaly detection initiatives.
Administer Snowflake environments across development, testing, and production.
Manage databases, schemas, warehouses, users, roles, and resource monitors.
Monitor platform performance, availability, and usage costs.

Required:

8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Platform roles.
4+ years of hands-on Snowflake architecture and administration experience.
Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.
Advanced SQL skills.
Experience with Python.
Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and data integration processes.
Experience managing Snowflake security, governance, and access controls.
