Role Overview
In this contingent resource assignment, the Software Engineer will consult on complex initiatives with broad organizational impact and large-scale planning. The role involves reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted engineering challenges. The engineer will contribute to resolving technical problems by applying a deep understanding of engineering practices, enterprise standards, and compliance requirements, collaborating closely with client personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Write production-level Java and/or Python code daily to support enterprise initiatives.
- Support BMG migration as part of an enterprise data center exit strategy.
- Develop and enhance solutions for AI-driven fraud and detection use cases.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement solutions.
- Leverage and adopt in-house AI capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Technically own medium-sized modules, working independently while guiding junior engineers.
- Participate in production issue resolution, including infrequent after-hours support during scheduled releases.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of hands-on Software Engineering experience, with strong expertise in Java (full stack leaning backend) and/or Python, writing production-level code daily.
Technical Skills: Proven experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes in a hands-on implementation capacity. Must have the ability to analyze complex requirements and build scalable engineering solutions in large enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform); AWS or other cloud experience is also acceptable.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Possession of cloud certifications (Google, AWS, or equivalent).
