About the Role
We are building a dedicated GenAI Discovery & Prototyping team responsible for rapid, dual-track discovery and delivery of LLM-enabled proof-of-concept applications. This team develops fast, user-testable prototypes that validate feasibility, UX patterns, and business value—feeding insights into 5–8 existing product backlogs or spinning up new AI-driven capabilities.
To accelerate this work, we are standing up a focused prototyping pod and seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can rapidly design, build, and iterate on LLM-powered workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, ships quickly, collaborates deeply with SMEs, and brings strong engineering fundamentals to a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build rapid POC user interfaces for LLM-enabled workflows.
- Integrate front-end prototypes with back-end endpoints (axios or equivalent).
- Collaborate closely with back-end engineers, domain experts, and product partners to validate feasibility and refine UX.
- Translate ambiguous problem statements into functional prototypes within 2–3 weeks.
- Apply strong engineering fundamentals and 12-Factor principles to ensure prototypes are clean, modular, and extensible.
- Provide clear communication, demo-ready updates, and transparent progress reporting.
- Work fluidly across front-end and back-end seams as needed to accelerate delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Must-Haves
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and cloud-native mindset (12-Factor principles).
- Proficiency in C# or equivalent experience with orchestration patterns.
- Hands-on experience integrating with LLM APIs (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude).
- Ability to build fast, functional UIs and integrate them with back-end services.
Soft Skills
- Outcome-oriented senior mindset: able to ramp quickly and deliver meaningful signal in 2–3 weeks.
- Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with SMEs, product, and design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable demoing work.
- Low-ego, high-trust collaborator who can flex across FE/BE boundaries.
AI / ML Expectations (Important Clarification)
This is not a deep ML research or model-training role. You will not be doing:
- Low-level model training
- GPU/CPU optimization
- Advanced ML infrastructure
You will be doing:
- LLM API integration (Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Applying ML concepts at the application, API, and functional levels
- Data parsing, processing, and light feature engineering to support POC maturation
ML experience is a plus but not required.
