Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Python, React, SQL)

We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Employment Type: Contract / Contingent Workforce
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or a related technical role.
  • Experience developing scalable applications using Python.
  • Experience building modern web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, database design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and data platforms.
  • Experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, you will design, develop, and support enterprise applications and data solutions that drive business outcomes. You will work across the full technology stack, including backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend user experiences.

In addition to software development responsibilities, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, analyze processes, and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. You will play a key role in shaping product roadmaps, influencing technical direction, and driving continuous improvement across applications and business processes.
Responsibilities
Software Development
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and React.
  • Build scalable, secure, and reliable APIs, microservices, and backend services.
  • Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React and modern frontend technologies.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
  • Develop solutions that meet performance, reliability, security, and maintainability requirements.
Database Engineering
  • Design and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, schemas, stored procedures, views, and queries.
  • Optimize database and application performance through tuning and monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support business operations, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Elicit, validate, and document functional and business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering activities.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state processes to identify efficiencies and improvements.
Solution Delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business and technology solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
  • Support CI/CD processes and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, operational readiness, and production support.
Operational Excellence
  • Develop automated testing, monitoring, and observability solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while implementing long-term improvements.
  • Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development principles.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across applications and processes.
