Position Title: Data Governance Analyst
Location: Hybrid Milwaukee, WI (Onsite Monday Wednesday; Remote Thursday Friday)

Project Overview
The company is building out its Data Governance program from scratch and is seeking a strong, hands-on Data Governance professional to help establish, operationalize, and administer the function.
This role will focus heavily on regulated data controls, data lineage mapping, data classification (including PII), and ensuring internal and third party systems meet compliance standards. This individual will operate as the manager's right hand partner, supporting the daytoday workflows, documentation, governance reporting, and control validation.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Support the manager as the daily operational administrator of the Data Governance program
- Lead or support governance efforts related to regulated data components
- Track and document governance activities, including:
- policy workflow management
- approvals & validations
- verifying accuracy and completeness of documentation
- Create governance reporting (reports, monitoring, lineage tracking)
- Participate in meetings and support governance processes:
- meeting notes
- tracking action items
- stakeholders followups
- Validate controls across:
- internal systems
- vendor/thirdparty systems
- data flowing outside Landmark
Main Responsibilities
Data Governance Program Administration
- Stand up and operationalize governance practices across the organization
- Support governance documentation, policy lifecycle management, and reporting
Data Lineage + Data Classification
- Track data movement from source systems into Landmark
- Maintain endtoend lineage visibility
- Support data classification efforts with emphasis on:
- PII identification
- sensitivity classifications
Controls / Risk / Compliance Support
- Ensure governance controls exist and remain validated
- Partner with Risk & Compliance stakeholders to meet regulatory expectations
- Validate controls for thirdparty systems and external data flows
Key Requirements
- Strong background in Data Governance, especially in building or maturing programs
- Experience in:
- data lineage
- data classification
- PII handling
- regulated data environments
- Ability to work independently and function as the manager's righthand partner
- Strong documentation & communication skills (policies, reports, validation, notes)
- Experience with any data cataloging tools
Tools / Tech Environment Data Catalog / Lineage Tool Alation
- Used for cataloging, lineage mapping, and classification
- Candidate will utilize the tool, not configure it
- Supports reporting and monitoring lineage from source systems
Reporting / Monitoring Tool Alteryx
- Helpful but not required
- No workflow design needed, just exposure

- Experience in banking / financial services
- Experience with:
- Risk & Compliance teams
- vendor/thirdparty governance controls
- Exposure to other catalog tools (Collibra, Informatica, custom)
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts
