Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Varicent ICM (Incentive Compensation Management) Architect responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex incentive compensation models within the Varicent platform. The role involves building calculation logic, managing data integrations, and developing Presenter Adaptive Reports to support Sales Operations, HR, and Compensation teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Varicent configuration, SQL, reporting, and web-based administration tools.


Key Responsibilities

1. Varicent Configuration & Development

  • Design, build, and test calculation logic and data stores for incentive compensation models within Varicent ICM.
  • Implement and maintain workflows, crediting rules, quotas, payout logic, and model updates.
  • Configure and optimize Presenter Adaptive Reports to provide dashboards, payout summaries, audit reports, and analytics.
  • Develop reports that support text, images, tables, charts, picklists, style settings, and workflow assignments.

2. Data Management, Imports & Integrations

  • Develop and optimize SQL scripts and data import processes to support compensation calculations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance across integrated systems.

3. Reporting & Analytics

  • Create dynamic and interactive Presenter Adaptive Reports to visualize compensation metrics, plan performance, and payout insights.
  • Deliver reporting solutions to support leadership and operational teams.

4. Testing, Validation & Support

  • Lead UAT, regression testing, and data validation to ensure calculation accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve payout discrepancies, data anomalies, and workflow issues.
  • Support monthly payout processing and operational compensation activities.

5. Web Forms / Web Admin

  • Utilize Varicent Web Admin and web forms to configure model settings and manage workflows.
  • Support user interaction components such as forms, approvals, and object updates.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on Varicent product enhancements and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved compensation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Varicent ICM configuration and development.
  • Mandatory experience building Presenter Adaptive Reports.
  • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with compensation plan modeling, crediting rules, quotas, and payout cycles.
  • Experience using Varicent Web Admin and web-based configuration tools.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
