Job Summary

The Migration Architect defines and owns the future-proof target-state architecture for the Cerner-to-Epic transition, including Epic-hosted models and integration with on-premise and cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure). They bridge clinical, operational, and IT teams to design secure, scalable, and resilient systems. SheJobs

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy: Define the target-state architecture, ensuring Epic integrates properly with third-party systems (Imaging, Lab, HIE).
Integration & Data: Oversee HL7, FHIR, and legacy data migration, ensuring data accuracy and secure transfer from Cerner.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Design infrastructure solutions to support Epic, ensuring high availability and cloud interoperability.
Governance & Compliance: Establish technical guardrails and ensure compliance with healthcare cybersecurity policies.
Cutover & Go-Live: Support cutover planning, stabilization, and performance tuning post-go-live.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clinical and IT leaders to align technical solutions with clinical workflows. SheJobs +2

Required Skills and Qualifications

EHR Experience: Deep expertise in Cerner and Epic application architectures.
Architectural Expertise: Proven ability to design secure, scalable networks and cloud solutions (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
Migration Experience: Experience leading complex data migrations in a healthcare setting.
Integration Tools: Knowledge of interface engines and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
