Circuit Board Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Circuit Board Technician in support of our enterprise storage and compute customer based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities:
* Supports engineering activities such as test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electronic boards and systems, electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment; This includes hand assembly and disassembly of SMT & BGA components Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform detailed rework function
* Determine methods or actions to rework boards and/or systems
* Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment
* Uses test, development or diagnostic equipment including but not limited to such equipment as oscilloscopes, DMMs and specialized test apparatus
* Build new test stations and troubleshoot failed test stations
* Repair boards with failed, wrong or mis-inserted components, solder shorts, open traces and other problems
* Provide failed components and boards to engineering for evaluation when appropriate
* Rework performed includes wiring, component removal & reinstallation, etch and pad restoration, for both surface mount and thru-hole technology
* Perform ECO & repair rework as required on PCB's

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10 years of experience
* Excellent skills in rework of SMT & BGA or small footprint components
* Ability to perform high-level quality rework requiring and inspection utilizing microscopes and soldering hand tools
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work under high stress situation
* Ability to balance and prioritize individual work to best support engineering's needs and minimize testing downtime

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
