Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager IT to join our team in Torrance, CA. This role is focused on leading IT projects related to customer-facing digital products, ensuring their successful delivery while fostering collaboration across various teams. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in aligning project outcomes with business objectives and driving continuous improvement.
Job DescriptionThe IT Project Manager will lead assigned projects and enhancements to new or existing systems following standard SDLC methodology (Agile and Waterfall). Responsibilities include full lifecycle project management, stakeholder communication, technical coordination, and the delivery of customer-facing digital products.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project plans, staff tasks, assignments, and progress reporting.
- Track dependencies, risks, and issues; provide timely mitigation plans.
- Facilitate communication between business and IT stakeholders.
- Review, refine, and validate complex business requirements; develop a clear and prioritized backlog.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to review designs.
- Oversee QA planning and execution; coordinate test schedules and timelines.
- Schedule, coordinate, and chair meetings; distribute meeting minutes.
- Create presentations and communication materials for various stakeholders.
- Manage release cycles and post-launch activities end-to-end; support production systems.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure transparency for Product Owners and executives.
- Support delivery teams and/or Product Owners in story and task definition.
- Lead continuous improvement through data-driven Agile retrospectives.
- Maintain accurate and updated team documentation and project artifacts.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner on backlog definition, prioritization, and visibility.
- Partner with developers, designers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
- Collaborate with other project teams to remove impediments.
- Support Product Owners in stakeholder meetings and solution development.
Scope of WorkThe Project Manager will work with digital and consumer-focused applications, supporting Agile delivery and cross-functional coordination across internal teams, consultants, and vendors.

- Collaborating with IT teams, consultants, and vendors to define goals, backlogs, and roadmaps.
- Managing one or more medium- to large-scale, moderately to highly complex projects.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
- Creating project plans, assigning tasks, identifying resource needs, conducting quality reviews, and escalating issues as needed
Requirements Top Skills & QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training in Agile development, innovation, or process management.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a focus on customer-facing digital/commerce/website platforms (e.g., e-commerce, sales platforms, SaaS, website compliance).
- Strong communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse team members; strong team-player mindset.
- Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
- Technical background enabling understanding of complex business and system requirements.
- Ability to innovate, multitask, and work with minimal oversight.
- Ability to perform Scrum Master responsibilities.
- Strong PowerPoint and executive-level presentation skills.
- Experience delivering customer-facing websites or digital platforms with complex data transactions or integrations.
Preferred- Experience with Clarity for project and financial management.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence for user stories and project documentation.
- Background in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem.
