Civil/Utility Design Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

The main function of this role is to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet project and operational requirements. The position is responsible for applying engineering principles, conducting analysis, and supporting the execution of engineering projects across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements.
• Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or other approved engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Requires a minimum of five years' experience in utility design or related project construction design AND a Professional Engineer License.

Technical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and data.
• Knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

A pay range of $60.00 to $70.00 per hour is available for this position.
