Cloud Data Architect Snowflake / AWS

We are seeking a Cloud Data Architect to support an enterprise data architecture team onsite in Austin, TX responsible for building and enhancing cloud-based data pipelines, data warehouse loads, and analytical repositories. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data integration challenges, working with cloud data warehouse technologies, and helping shape scalable data architecture in a large enterprise environment.

In this role, you will work as a key member of the Enterprise Data Architecture team, developing data pipelines that support the organization s data warehouse and reporting environments. You will help build a replication framework, curate and standardize data from multiple sources, conform data for enterprise use, and load reporting structures that support analytics and decision-making.

The right candidate will bring a strong combination of hands-on data engineering, cloud data warehouse experience, architecture thinking, and communication skills. You should be comfortable working across technical teams, helping define requirements, developing solution concepts, and mentoring client personnel as needed.

What You ll Do

You will design and develop data pipeline solutions that move, transform, standardize, and package data for enterprise reporting and analytics. You will work with cloud data warehouse tools, Spark, event streaming platforms, and other data management technologies to support scalable and reliable data integration.

You will also help determine the best way to divide work across architectural components, develop CI/CD processes, build and deploy standard architecture components, and assist with task planning, schedule estimates, and effort estimates.

This role requires someone who can think through the overall architecture while also contributing to the actual development and delivery of data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop data pipelines to load enterprise data warehouses and analytical repositories.
  • Build and support a data replication framework.
  • Curate, standardize, and conform data from multiple source systems.
  • Load reporting structures to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
  • Use cloud data warehouse tools, Spark, event streaming platforms, and related data management technologies.
  • Design efficient solutions for data management, data wrangling, data packaging, and data integration.
  • Determine the appropriate use of data integration tools and architectural components.
  • Develop and support CI/CD processes.
  • Build and deploy standard architecture components.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and solution concept development.
  • Mentor client personnel and support knowledge transfer.
  • Assist with task planning, scheduling, and effort estimation.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 7 years of relevant experience in cloud data architecture, data engineering, enterprise data warehousing, or related data integration work.
  • Experience developing data pipelines for data warehouse or analytical repository environments.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data wrangling, data packaging, and data standardization concepts.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouse tools.
  • Experience with Spark.
  • Experience with event streaming platforms.
  • Experience developing or supporting CI/CD processes.
  • Ability to design solutions and determine how work should be divided across architectural components.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with client teams, gather requirements, and support solution development.
  • Ability to mentor or guide client personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise data warehousing experience.
  • Extensive Snowflake experience.
  • AWS architecture experience.
  • Experience building scalable cloud data solutions.
  • Experience supporting reporting structures and analytical repositories.
  • Experience in large enterprise or public sector environments.
