Job Description
We are seeking an Aerospace Production Certification Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in technical aerospace instruction and hands-on production practices, and a proven ability to deliver effective training that enables safe, compliant, and high-quality production outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructor-led training across designated aerospace curricula (Electrical, Mechanical, Sealing, or EHS).
- Demonstrate and evaluate hands-on competencies in accordance with production standards and work instructions.
- Assess trainee proficiency, document results, and provide actionable feedback and remediation.
- Maintain a safe training environment and reinforce EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong technical background with the ability to instruct aerospace production courses.
- Proficiency in at least one path: Electrical, Aerospace Mechanical, Aerospace Sealant application, or Environmental Health and Safety.
- Clear communication, coaching, and troubleshooting skills in a shop-floor training setting.
- Ability to stand and teach for full-day sessions; willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Skills:
- Military aviation or aerospace production training experience.
- Experience with Boeing production standards, blueprints, and functional test practices.
Role Tracks and Focus Areas:
- Electrical Instructor: Aircraft electrical installations and assembly, functional test troubleshooting, crimping, soldering, and basic mechanical skills.
- Aerospace Mechanical Skills Instructor: Electrical installations, bonding and grounding, aircraft assembly and heavy structure drilling or maintenance, blueprint and production standards, functional test, systems operations and troubleshooting.
- Aerospace Seal Instructor: Aircraft sealant application, including surface preparation, cleaning, and application to components.
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Instructor: Confined space, lock out tag tryout (LOTTO), DOT, and fall protection topics.
Work Schedule, Travel, and Location Preferences:
- Expected hours: 40-43 per week. First shift 5:30-2:30 or second shift 2:30-11:30 ( 1 hour possible).
- Travel up to 25% (about one week per month). Mileage reimbursed.
- Sites: North (Everett, 1st or 2nd), Central (Renton and North Boeing Field, 1st or 2nd), South (Auburn, 1st only). Provide 1st and 2nd location/shift preferences with submission.
Additional Requirements:
- Drug screen: 8-panel standard mandatory. Background: First Advantage Basic Package.
