Summary

Our organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Change Management to support and lead strategic technology and business transformation initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. This role serves as both a technical project manager and change management leader, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and adoption of technology and process improvements.

The Project Manager – Change Management will be responsible for: (1) managing multiple IT implementation projects, (2) driving organizational change management activities to support user adoption, and (3) serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with successful organizational adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

  • Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define program goals, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Establish governance processes, reporting structures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support strategic planning and portfolio management initiatives.

Project Management

  • Lead and manage multiple technology and business transformation projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and status reports.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into actionable project objectives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments to support project success.

Change Management

  • Lead organizational change management efforts for technology and process implementations.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies and adoption plans.
  • Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and readiness evaluations.
  • Collaborate with training teams to develop communication and training programs.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote sustainable change and ensure long-term integration into business operations.

Quality Assurance & Governance

  • Establish quality standards and project governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery methodologies.

Risk Management

  • Identify project and organizational risks.
  • Develop mitigation plans and corrective actions.
  • Escalate critical issues appropriately and provide recommendations for resolution.

Business Case Development

  • Assist with the development of project charters, business cases, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Support project prioritization and resource planning activities.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings and project governance reviews.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience supporting technology, business transformation, or enterprise implementation initiatives.
  • Experience leading organizational change management activities within large or matrixed organizations.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle management.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting technology projects within professional services, legal, financial, healthcare, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience managing enterprise software implementations and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with project portfolio management and governance frameworks.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to travel periodically to regional offices or project locations as needed.
  • Change management certification preferred, including:
    • Prosci Change Management Certification
    • Certified Change Practitioner (CCMP)
    • Equivalent organizational change management credentials
  • Project management certification preferred, including:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
    • Equivalent project management credentials

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Practical experience applying organizational change management frameworks such as ADKAR.
  • Excellent business requirements gathering and stakeholder interviewing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Advanced organizational and project planning skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and training initiatives.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Project
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Collaboration and project management platforms
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within team environments.

Additional Desired Characteristics

  • Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and business process optimization.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Demonstrated success driving user adoption and organizational readiness.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid or remote work environment depending on organizational needs.
  • Regular interaction with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and end users.
  • Occasional travel to regional offices or project sites may be required.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring effective prioritization and adaptability.
