Electronic Test and Measurement Equipment Field Service Engineer

Keysight Technologies has been unlocking electronic measurement insights for 75 years. This opportunity is part of our Global Services Organization, which helps customers manage test instruments and find ways to maximize their asset usage, streamline their engineering operations, and achieve lower costs. With service centers in over 30 countries, Keysight Global Services is a people intensive, local business.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a proven advanced technician in the Calibration of Electronic Test and Measurement Equipment. This is role for a key individual who will work full time between our facility in Bethlehem, PA performing calibration on a wide range of manufacturers equipment and Keysight products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and automated calibration, adjustments, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting of Test & Measurement electronic equipment and optical/telecom equipment at our Keysight service center.
  • Evaluate test failures, distinguishing between hardware & system software to determine if repair or re-alignment is required
  • Utilize strong computer skills including automated Calibration Systems, National Instruments Lab View, NI Max and Agilent I/O.
  • Understand, and utilize STE, TME, and PC based software as required
  • Work and adhere to quality standards for ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-3, and ISO/IEC 17025 Keysight quality program
  • Assist in maintaining the Calibration team's accreditation through participation in proficiency testing, quality measure assurance programs, and applicable training
  • Use excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively interface with customers and peers
  • Manage daily operations, procedure updates and the internal laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

  • University Degree, Technical School or Military PMEL/TMDE or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in Field Customer Support of Test and Measurement instruments.
  • Must have calibration service experience of all types of Keysight and Non-Keysight Test Equipment to include RF/ Microwave skills to 50 GHz
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively with fellow team members, customers, and management while adhering to the highest standards of business ethics
  • Must be knowledgeable of current quality standards for ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-3, and ISO/IEC 17025
  • Requires ability and desire to learn system/automated calibration software
  • Ability to calibrate instruments both manually and using automated test procedures
  • Experience using automated calibration software platforms (STE, TME, PC Based, etc.) a plus.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and peers.
  • Understand project timeline, goals and processes and take the lead to complete those requirements.
  • Candidates must be in local area (Bethlehem, PA) or willing to relocate themselves
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able and willing to work overtime as needed

Pay Range:

USD $90,790.00 - USD $151,320.00 Year
