Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of automated systems for network infrastructure. This role involves enhancing the capability to verify network configuration, developing automated testing frameworks, and managing pipeline-based deployments for networking tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy automated systems for the rapid and efficient rollout of new network sites and updates.
- Develop a capability to verify network configuration and management at production sites.
- Create and maintain an automated testing framework for network deployments and updates.
- Manage pipeline-based, automated deployments for networking tools for production sites.
- Lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes.
Required Qualifications
- A thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
- 2+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols through network layers 1-4.
- 2+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
- 1+ years of automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl.
- Experience with one or more router, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms, such as Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
- Experience working in a highly available and operationally aware network environment.
- Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
- Experience working in a lab environment.
- Experience with IPv6/IPv4 design and implementations.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00/hour to $80.00/hour.
