Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to work in Walnut Creek, CA or Phoenix AZ hybrid- 3 days a week for a contract to hire role.

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to support and enhance enterprise identity governance, access management, and provisioning capabilities across a cloud-first environment. This role will play a key part in managing user access lifecycle processes, developing and maintaining access workflows, supporting governance initiatives, and driving automation within the organization's IAM ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms, Okta, access provisioning, access reviews, and workflow development. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) IAM is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and support Identity and Access Management solutions across the enterprise
* Develop, enhance, and maintain IAM workflows and automation processes
* Create and maintain Python scripts to automate identity-related processes, data movement, and system integrations
* Support and administer Okta-based identity and access management solutions
* Partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure appropriate access controls and governance standards are maintained
* Assist with the evaluation, implementation, and migration of Identity Governance tools and platforms
* Support audit, compliance, and security initiatives related to user access management
* Document IAM processes, workflows, and technical configurations
* Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency

Manage user lifecycle processes, including:
* Access provisioning and deprovisioning
* Role-based access control (RBAC)
* Access reviews and certifications
* Identity reconciliations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
* Experience administering and supporting Okta environments
* Experience developing and maintaining IAM workflows
* Proficiency with Python scripting and automation
* Strong understanding of IAM governance, security controls, and compliance requirements
* Experience integrating IAM solutions with enterprise applications and cloud environments
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Hands-on experience with:
* Access provisioning and deprovisioning
* Access reviews/certifications
* Identity reconciliations
* User lifecycle management

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Okta Identity Governance (OIG)
* Strong background with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) IAM
* Experience supporting cloud-native identity and access management environments
* Knowledge of identity governance migrations, platform transitions, or IAM transformation initiatives
* Familiarity with workflow orchestration and automation tools

Experience with enterprise Identity Governance platforms such as:
* Saviynt
* SailPoint
* Clear Skye
* Similar IGA solutions

Environment:
* Heavy use of Okta for access management and identity services
* Cloud platform: Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
* Current Identity Governance platform is under evaluation and may transition from existing solutions to a new governance platform
* Collaborative environment seeking individuals who are adaptable and willing to learn new IAM and governance technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
