Role Summary

An AXP Technical Product Owner is a delivery leader responsible for owning and driving the product backlog for an Adobe Experience Platform delivery pod. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, MarTech architecture, and agile delivery, this role translates stakeholder requirements into actionable, prioritized work for a cross-functional scrum team. The TPO ensures the pod delivers high-quality AEP, AJO, and CJA capabilities on time, with clear alignment to program-level objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·  Own and manage the product backlog for an AXP scrum pod, including story writing, acceptance criteria definition, prioritization, and sprint planning

·  Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, marketing teams, IT, and the delivery pod — translating requirements into well-defined user stories and technical tasks

·  Facilitate scrum ceremonies as a product owner: sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

·  Maintain a deep enough understanding of AEP, AJO, and CJA capabilities to validate technical solutions, challenge assumptions, and make informed prioritization decisions

·  Partner with the AXP Architect to align backlog priorities with the broader technical architecture, governance standards, and integration design

·  Review and accept engineer and journey developer deliverables, ensuring outputs meet both technical standards and business intent

·  Communicate sprint progress, velocity, and delivery health to stakeholders through regular reporting and status updates

Core Skills

·  AEP, AJO, CJA

·  Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) — PI Planning, ART participation, iteration execution

·  Stakeholder management and executive communication

·  Sufficient technical fluency in XDM, ingestion, identity, segmentation, and activation to engage meaningfully with engineers and architects

·  Delivery risk management and dependency tracking

Typical Experience

·  6–10 years in MarTech, digital, or data delivery roles, with at least 3 years in a product owner or delivery lead capacity

·  Hands-on experience with one or more AEP or AJO implementations (as engineer, BA, or TPO)

·  Proven track record of independently running scrum pods in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into business language and vice versa
