RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Desktop Support Technician onsite in Panorama City, CA. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST. For this role there will be 100% local travel to multiple facilities daily (MOBs and other sites within Kern County). The dress code is business casual. The interview process will be in-person.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our client's onsite IT support team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day technical support for end users across multiple facilities, ensuring reliable operations, timely incident resolution, and exceptional service. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
* Receive, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues including system installation, configuration, security fundamentals, printer systems, and third-party software
* Deliver high-quality customer service to all computer users, maintaining clear communication on expectations and timelines
* Review and assign daily tickets, coordinating incidents, moves/adds/changes, and supporting LAN/WAN environments
* Perform installation, maintenance, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software
* Maintain and secure inventory of all hardware and software assets
* Work independently with general direction from team leads or the Manager
* Analyze issues, determine corrective actions, and document resolutions
* Follow up with customers after issues are resolved to ensure satisfaction and understanding
* Remain sensitive to user frustrations and respond with professionalism at all times
Top Responsibilities:
* Support day-to-day technical operations across multiple facilities
* Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests
* Assist with project-related technical tasks and deployments
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or GED required
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience in end-user computing and PC/workstation LAN environments
* Proficiency with Windows, O365, mobile devices, and the Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* Certifications such as Microsoft, A+, or related training
* 3-5 years of related experience
* Technical consulting experience
* Experience with ServiceNow
Additional Role Details:
* Position works more than 50% of the time in patient access buildings; Adherence to professional standards and conduct is essential
* Travel throughout the Kern County service area is required daily to support multiple locations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
