What would you do?
Job Title: Atlassian Platform Developer
Location: McLean, VA / Plano, TX / Dallas, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Onsite: 5 Days Onsite
Experience:
6 to 10 years of strong experience developing and maintaining custom scripts and automations using ScriptRunner, Groovy, and JavaScript for Jira and Confluence Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, extend, and maintain Atlassian Cloud applications and custom scripts using Forge, ScriptRunner, REST APIs, Groovy, and JavaScript.
- Design and implement custom Jira workflows, listeners, validators, scripted fields, and Forge apps including custom UI components.
- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code to customize workflows, automate processes, and integrate third-party tools.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing scripts and applications to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product owners, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Atlassian ScriptRunner for Jira and Confluence, including Groovy scripting.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and REST API development for Atlassian Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian Forge framework and cloud app development.
- Deep understanding of Jira and Confluence Cloud architecture, permissions, and customization options.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Connect and OAuth authentication.
- Atlassian Developer certifications (e.g., ACP-620, Forge Developer Badge) are a plus.
