Job Description:

Position: Network Engineer

Location: Onsite 4 days x 10 hours, Monday - Thursday

Duration: Long-term contract, W-2

Pay Rate Range: $75-100/hr.

Basic Qualifications:

7+ years of Networking Experience

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Experience with Linux (preferably Red Hat).

Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, and bash.

Experience on one team-based project.

Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance required. Due to the US government security clearance requirements, ship is required. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Virtualization technologies (preferably VMWare, Virtual Box, or KVM).

Experience with Network devices and their configuration.

Familiarity with concepts of software containerization.

Familiarity with concepts of Cybersecurity.

Related certifications, such as Security+, Linux+, Cisco Certified Network Engineer, and Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate.

Coursework in Computer Architecture, Networking, Digital Systems, Microprocessors, Cybersecurity, and/or System Hardening.

Demonstrated strong teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.

Demonstrated motivation with strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex engineering tasks.
