About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. In this role, you will support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for ultra-precision machined components and small-parts assembly operations. You will work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence through process innovation, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical foundation, problem-solving mindset, and a passion for improving manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scalability.

What You'll Do

Drive process improvements across small-parts assembly, paint, plating, and related manufacturing operations.

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop detailed manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.

Investigate production and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to improve productivity and quality.

Identify opportunities for automation and smart manufacturing technologies and lead implementation initiatives.

Support capital equipment evaluations, vendor selection, installation, and project execution activities.

Partner with production teams to provide technical troubleshooting and shop-floor support.

Monitor and analyze quality, cost, and schedule performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Support new product introduction activities and transition products into production.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related engineering discipline.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience working with CAD software such as Creo, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Knowledge of precision assembly processes such as pin installation, riveting, threaded inserts, and related assembly methods.

Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience creating 3D models, tooling designs, and fixture concepts using Creo, Siemens NX, or equivalent CAD software.

Knowledge of special manufacturing processes such as anodizing, passivation, plating, heat treatment, coatings, and paint application.

Experience working with precision measurement equipment, gauges, and inspection tools.

Exposure to automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies.

Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing).

Understanding of chemical process controls, pH analysis, titrations, and manufacturing process troubleshooting.

Familiarity with quality management systems and industry manufacturing standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.

Strong project management and process improvement capabilities.
