  • Develop customer-facing functionality and user experiences, including front-end solutions using React when applicable.
  • Build, deploy, and support applications running within cloud-native environments and Kubernetes ecosystems.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while maintaining system reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, scalability improvements, and platform modernization efforts.
  • Work closely with product owners to refine requirements, decompose work into actionable tasks, and support junior engineers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and help drive continuous improvement across development practices.
  • Leverage technologies including AWS, Snowflake, SQL databases, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, or comparable object-oriented programming technologies.
  • Deep understanding of API design, integration patterns, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience building scalable software solutions and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Practical knowledge of Git-based source control workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze business domains, ask thoughtful questions, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, or modern front-end development.
  • Kubernetes and containerized application experience.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with Datadog, Bitbucket, and modern monitoring tools.
  • CI/CD implementation and automation experience.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform.
  • Knowledge of EDI, X12, or large-scale integration platforms.
  • Experience in insurance, healthcare, benefits, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
  • Comfortable collaborating with distributed and international teams.
What Success Looks Like
  • Delivering scalable, reliable solutions that perform effectively in production environments.
  • Helping modernize and optimize cloud-native platforms to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Building integration capabilities that simplify complex interactions across multiple organizations.
  • Successfully partnering with stakeholders to transform business challenges into technical solutions.
  • Contributing to a culture of engineering excellence through collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Taking ownership beyond code delivery to ensure solutions achieve their intended business objectives.
