Location: Logan, Utah (Partial Remote)

Role Overview
This position will perform services related to the redesign and requalification of core packaging systems for Single Use DynaDrive Bioreactors, specifically for 3000L and 5000L sizes. The role is focused on addressing challenges with the shipment of a flexible containment solution for medical vaccines. The primary issue is damage during the packaging and shipping process, and the project aims to requalify shipping components and improve packaging to prevent damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and remediate failure nodes.
- Update FMEA protocols and implement design improvements.
- Write protocols, conduct testing, and perform root cause analysis.
- Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations on design improvements.
- Perform ISG1 vibration tests using an in-house vibration table.
- Work on prototype and pre-prototype improvements.
- Develop packaging processes and update packaging specifications.
- Create customer-facing unpackaging instructions.
- Build physical test samples and conduct manufacturing trials.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
Experience: Experience with packaging, particularly for medical devices, is required. Candidates must have biomedical experience, specifically in medical device packaging.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in root cause analysis, packaging, testing, and design.
- Experience with ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, and TOPS software.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of forming, sealing processes, and tooling design for flexible film materials.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and transportation modalities.
- Understanding of vibration and shock absorption materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience with SolidWorks.
- A background in the medical industry is highly transferable.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is $60.00 to $80.00 per hour.
