Job Description: Automation Lead Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead Developer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of automation frameworks and solutions across enterprise applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation in automation practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, and Engineering) to identify automation opportunities.
  • Define automation standards, best practices, and governance models.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and automation engineers.
  • Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation processes for performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance automation capabilities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in software development and automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Robot Framework).
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and monitoring tools.
  • Certification in automation frameworks or cloud technologies.
