HCM Business Applications Analyst. This role is critical in supporting and optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM) systems while partnering cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and IT teams.

Position OverviewThe IT HCM Business Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise HCM systems. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for system-related inquiries, while driving system improvements, reporting capabilities, and end-user training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for HCM applications
- Act as the primary contact for system-related questions across HR, Payroll, and other departments
- Configure and maintain HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management)
- Manage system updates, patches, and releases in coordination with vendors and internal IT teams
- Analyze business requirements and recommend system and process improvements
- Lead or support HCM-related projects, including implementations and system upgrades
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics while ensuring data integrity and security
- Create and update user documentation and training materials; deliver end-user training
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve system performance and user experience
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience supporting HCM systems
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices
- Hands-on experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and user support
- Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to reconcile complex data and requirements
Preferred Skills- Experience with Dayforce (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with SQL, data mapping, or API integrations
- Experience with Articulate or modern data platforms
- Background in vendor management (support, upgrades, issue resolution)
- Knowledge of HCM integrations (payroll providers, benefits carriers, etc.)
- Understanding of HR compliance and data privacy regulations
- Relevant HCM certifications (e.g., Dayforce) are a plus
- Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to solve complex business and technical challenges
