Quality Assurance Specialist

The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist (four openings, created by growth in the quality department) on behalf of a fast-growing aerospace manufacturer. The Quality Assurance Specialist keeps manufacturing processes compliant, runs quality gates, completes first-piece approvals, supports containment, and strengthens a culture of quality across operations, serving as the operational backbone of the quality management system. This is a full-time, on-site position in Olney, Texas, with relocation assistance available.

Please note: this role centers on manufacturing process auditing, especially Layered Process Audits (LPAs), not just dimensional part inspection. Candidates whose background is limited to inspection will not be a fit.

What You'll Do

  • Complete first-piece approvals and process verifications.
  • Carry out quality gate inspections across manufacturing.
  • Conduct process audits and layered process audits.
  • Support containment of nonconforming product.
  • Confirm that corrective actions are implemented and effective.
  • Monitor adherence to manufacturing procedures and standards.
  • Assist with SMS implementation and compliance.
  • Coach operators and supervisors on quality requirements.
  • Contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.

How success is measured: first-piece approval cycle time, quality gate effectiveness, audit compliance, escape reduction, corrective action effectiveness, and process compliance.

What You Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Quality or Aerospace Quality experience
  • Hands-on experience with Layered Process Audits and Process Auditing
  • Experience with Quality Inspections and Quality Management Systems
  • Strong Communication and Problem Solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Preferred

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
  • Bonus: 40% annual bonus, paid out quarterly
  • Engagement: Full-time, direct hire; on-site, Olney, TX
  • Benefits: two-week company shutdowns twice a year (July and December) and relocation assistance
