RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Operations Support Lead in Grand Rapids, MI.

Summary:
The client is looking for an Operations Support Lead to oversee administrative, customer service, transportation, and operational support functions. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient daily operations, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring accurate communication and documentation across the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, operational experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of operational and administrative professionals
* Establish daily priorities, distribute workloads, and support employee development
* Promote accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and customer-focused service
* Train new team members on company processes, systems, and procedures
* Coordinate communication between transportation personnel, customers, vendors, operations teams, and leadership
* Ensure shipping, receiving, transportation, and logistics documentation is completed accurately and on time
* Monitor operational activity, schedules, and tracking systems
* Support inventory reconciliation, material tracking, reporting, and issue resolution
* Serve as a primary contact for customers, vendors, and
service providers
* Deliver responsive customer service and assist with service coordination and relationship management
* Support vendor onboarding, account maintenance, and system updates
* Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, collections support, and documentation management
* Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and operational records
* Partner with finance and operations leaders to improve processes, reporting, and internal controls
* Support ERP systems, operational software, equipment tracking, and maintenance documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in operations support, logistics, transportation coordination, customer service, administrative leadership, or related fields
* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
* Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, transportation operations, and workflow coordination
* Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
* Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and business software platforms
* Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
* Strong attention to detail, accountability, and professionalism
* Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
