We are looking for Network Test Engineer for 30 hours project
A Network Benchmarking Field Test Personnel is responsible for executing drive tests, walk tests, and stationary network performance measurements to compare telecommunications carriers. You will gather raw data on network quality (KPIs like throughput, latency, and drop rates) using specialized software and mobile equipment in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Testing & Data Collection: Conduct extensive drive and walk testing using benchmarking tools to measure 4G, 5G, and legacy network technologies.
- Equipment Management: Setup, calibrate, and troubleshoot field testing equipment.
- Route Navigation: Follow strict pre-planned routes and geographic scripts accurately to ensure fair and consistent data collection between competing operators.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Monitor data collection in real-time to catch errors, dropouts, or equipment freezes.
- Logistics & Safety: Operate test vehicles safely for long periods, coordinate local travel logistics, and maintain a high standard of situational awareness in public environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in RF field testing, drive testing, or wireless network benchmarking is highly preferred.
- Software/Tools: Proficiency with Android mobile tools and mapping software (Google Earth, MapInfo) is a strong plus.
- Mobility: Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a willingness to travel extensively (often 80%+ of the time, including nights and weekends).
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to fix hardware and software connectivity issues on the fly while in the field.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work on weekends
